The Lettermen’s Club
A Tradition of Excellence, Pride and Loyalty
By-Laws
1. Established in 1993, the Varsity Lettermen’s Club fosters lifelong friendships among Central Catholic High School’s alumni athletes and supports the athletic program for the present students.
2. Club membership is open to every alumnus athlete who earned a Central Catholic varsity letter.
3. Although general meetings of the Club are open only to members, the club-sponsored events are open to non-members.
4. The Executive Committee consists of the Principal, by right of office, and the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and three or four at-large members elected by the membership.
5. The Principal may appoint one of the at-large members of the Executive Committee.
6. The term of elective office is three years, with the possibility of re-election.
7. After two consecutive terms (six years), a member may not be re-elected to the Executive Committee until at least twelve months have passed since he last held office.
8. Meetings of the Executive Committee are called by the President at least in the fall and spring of each year.
9. General membership meetings ordinarily are held within two weeks of the Executive Committee meetings.
10. At the fall general meeting, the Principal or his delegate reports on the status of the project(s) currently supported by the Club.
11. Special executive meetings may be called by the Principal or at the request of at least three members of the Executive Committee.
12. Membership donations and all other funds collected by or in the name of the Lettermen’s Club are the property of Central Catholic High School for use in the school’s athletic program.
13. The Principal, in consultation with the Director of Athletics and the Executive Committee, determines the projects that merit the support of the Lettermen’s Club.
